New York — Lebanon’s Foreign Minister Youssef Raggi met with Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Secretary-General Jassim Mohammed Al-Budaiwi on the sidelines of the UN meetings in New York.
During the talks, both sides agreed to organize the Gulf-Lebanon Trade and Investment Forum in Beirut, a platform aimed at boosting economic cooperation and business ties between Lebanon and the Gulf states.
The discussions also highlighted the GCC’s support for Lebanon’s efforts to achieve development and stability amid its ongoing economic and political challenges.
Al-Budaiwi reaffirmed the Gulf bloc’s commitment to stand by Lebanon, while Minister Raggi welcomed the initiative as a step toward strengthening regional partnerships and attracting investment to vital sectors of the Lebanese economy.
