Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa meets U.S. President Donald Trump on UNGA sidelines

Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa held a sideline meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump during the United Nations General Assembly session in New York, according to Syria’s state news agency.

An official photo released from the meeting showed the presence of First Lady Melania Trump alongside the two leaders.

Media reports noted that this was the second meeting between al-Sharaa and Trump, following their earlier encounter in May this year.
