Lahore:Report by Ansab Ali The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has released details of flood damages across Punjab, announcing that a comprehensive survey will be completed within one month, along with a structured mechanism for distributing relief to victims.
According to the report, floods have affected 3,775 villages across 27 districts of the province. Narowal reported damage to 428 villages, Sialkot 377, and Jhang 322.
For financial assistance, the Bank of Punjab will establish relief centers at affected sites, while the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) will use mobile systems to collect and update damage data. Verification of losses will be carried out jointly by the Punjab Land Records Authority and the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA).
Final confirmation of damages will be made by Tehsil Committees, while a special committee will hear complaints and address concerns of affected communities.
