KARACHI — A tragic traffic accident near Stargate on Shahrah-e-Faisal claimed the lives of three women, including a mother and daughter, while a young man was injured early Sunday morning.
Police said the speeding car, bearing registration number BGQ-469, lost control, hit the footpath, and overturned. The impact left the vehicle completely wrecked.
The deceased were identified as 50-year-old Asma, her 19-year-old daughter Mintaha, and their cousin 22-year-old Faryal Shayan. The injured man, Owais, was shifted to Jinnah Hospital in critical condition.
According to authorities, the victims were residents of Liaquat Market, Malir, and were traveling from Drigh Road to Malir when the vehicle overturned. Police suspect speeding as the main cause of the crash and have launched an investigation.
The bodies were handed over to the families after completion of legal formalities.
