Islamabad (CNN Report): The United States-based news network CNN has acknowledged that Pakistan’s recent military and diplomatic strategy has significantly enhanced the country’s global stature and influence in the region.
According to CNN’s analytical report, Pakistan’s proactive and balanced diplomacy has strengthened its regional importance, while India’s attempts to isolate Pakistan on the world stage—particularly after the Pulwama false flag operation—have failed to gain traction.
Prominent CNN analyst Fareed Zakaria noted that “former U.S. President Donald Trump has shifted the direction of U.S. foreign policy in South Asia,” suggesting a move from New Delhi toward Islamabad.
The report further stated that during the Cairo Conference, Trump referred to Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir as his “favorite field marshal,” describing Pakistan as a vital defense and strategic partner for the United States.
CNN reported that economic cooperation between the two countries has also deepened. In July, the U.S. and Pakistan signed a tariff agreement and announced joint collaboration on Pakistan’s oil reserves, marking a new phase in bilateral relations.
The report added that Washington now views Pakistan as an effective military ally, a perception that has also influenced Saudi Arabia, which recently signed a defense cooperation agreement with Islamabad.
CNN concluded that Pakistan’s recent diplomatic and military successes have strengthened its global image and reaffirmed its importance in regional and international affairs.
