ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Foreign Office has dismissed reports of any deadlock in the ongoing talks in Istanbul, expressing optimism about positive outcomes from the dialogue.
During the weekly media briefing, Foreign Office Spokesperson Tahir Andarabi said the negotiations are proceeding in a constructive environment, and Pakistan remains hopeful for meaningful progress.
Commenting on security concerns, Andarabi reiterated that Pakistan’s core demand is that Afghan soil must not be used against Pakistan. “Unfortunately, Afghanistan’s territory continues to be exploited for activities against Pakistan,” he stated, emphasizing that Islamabad expects Kabul to take concrete measures to prevent such incidents.
The spokesperson reaffirmed that Pakistan supports regional peace and stability and will continue to engage diplomatically to ensure mutual security and cooperation between the two neighboring countries.
