Pakistan Islamabad Report By M.Saleem The United States, China, and the United Kingdom have condemned Tuesday’s suicide bombing in Islamabad that killed 12 people and injured 27, expressing solidarity with Pakistan in the fight against terrorism.
In a statement, the US Embassy in Islamabad condemned the attack and extended condolences to the families of the victims, reaffirming Washington’s commitment to support Pakistan in countering extremist violence.
The Chinese Embassy also issued a statement strongly condemning the bombing. “We condemn the attack in Islamabad and stand firmly with the government and people of Pakistan in their efforts to maintain peace and stability,” the statement read.
Similarly, British High Commissioner Jane Marriott expressed grief and condemnation over the tragic incident, saying the UK stands in solidarity with Pakistan at this difficult time.
Earlier, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi confirmed that the suicide bomber had attempted to enter the district courts before detonating near a police vehicle. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has directed authorities to ensure immediate medical treatment for the injured and vowed that those responsible will be brought to justice.
International observers say the coordinated response from global powers reflects growing concern over the resurgence of militant attacks in Pakistan, particularly in the capital and the country’s northwestern regions.
