The annual Khatm-e-Nubuwwat Conference took place in Chiniot, bringing together senior political figures, religious scholars and community representatives. Among the prominent attendees were Speaker of the Punjab Assembly Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan, Adviser to the Prime Minister Senator Rana Sanaullah Khan, Punjab Law Minister Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan, MPAs Rana Muhammad Arshad and Maulana Muhammad Ilyas Chinioti, along with a large gathering of scholars and citizens.
Addressing the conference, Adviser to the Prime Minister Senator Rana Sanaullah Khan reiterated that the belief in the Finality of Prophethood is at the heart of every Muslim’s faith. He emphasised that the State of Pakistan has consistently fulfilled—and will continue to fulfil—its responsibility to safeguard this core doctrine at every national and international forum. He commended the people of Chiniot for their longstanding religious scholarship and tradition of service.
Punjab Law Minister Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan highlighted that the provincial government is committed to ensuring religious harmony, tolerance and constitutional protection of Islamic beliefs. He noted that the doctrine of Khatm-e-Nubuwwat forms a fundamental pillar of Islam, and that all state institutions remain united in upholding it. Referring to the 1973 constitutional amendment, he said it stands as a landmark achievement in parliamentary history, granting unequivocal legal and constitutional protection to this principle.
Speaker Punjab Assembly Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan stated that the Finality of Prophethood is not a temporary subject of discussion but the foundational basis of faith. He underscored that Islam has been perfected by Allah, leaving no space for any claim of prophethood beyond the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Paying tribute to the late Maulana Manzoor Ahmad Chinioti for his lifelong defence of the doctrine through legal and constitutional efforts, the Speaker said his mission continues through Maulana Muhammad Ilyas Chinioti, who remains an active voice on the issue in the Assembly.
A large number of scholars, parliamentarians and citizens attended the event. Participants appreciated the speeches and reaffirmed their collective resolve to uphold unity and solidarity in defence of the doctrine of Khatm-e-Nubuwwat (PBUH).
