LAHORE: Advisor to the Chief Minister of Punjab on Artificial Intelligence and Special Initiatives, and Chairman of the Religious Affairs Committee, Ali Dar, attended the sacred Ghusal ceremony at the shrine of Hazrat Data Ganj Bakhsh (RA) on Friday.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar also participated in the spiritually significant ceremony, where he was received by Advisor to the Chief Minister Ali Dar and the Secretary of the Auqaf Department.
Speaking on the occasion, Ali Dar said that the shrine of Hazrat Data Ganj Bakhsh (RA) serves as a great centre of spirituality, peace, love, and humanity. He noted that the teachings of the revered Sufi saint promote compassion, tolerance, brotherhood, and service to mankind, while devotees visiting Data Darbar experience spiritual peace, hope, and blessings.
“The Ghusal ceremony reflects devotion, respect, and a deep spiritual connection,” he said.
Ali Dar further stated that, under the vision of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, continuous efforts are being made to improve religious sites, preserve their heritage, and provide better facilities for devotees and visitors.
He emphasized that safeguarding the sanctity, beauty, and spiritual environment of the shrine is a collective responsibility. He also appreciated the efforts of all relevant departments and institutions for ensuring exemplary arrangements for the ceremony.
Highlighting the enduring relevance of Sufi teachings, Ali Dar said the message of Hazrat Data Ganj Bakhsh (RA) is one of brotherhood, love, service to humanity, and peace.
Special prayers were offered during the ceremony for the peace, prosperity, progress, and security of Pakistan.
