IG Punjab Meets Police Personnel, Families; Orders Immediate Relief on Pending Requests

Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, held a detailed meeting with police personnel and their families at the Central Police Office (CPO) Lahore, where he listened to their concerns and issued on-the-spot directives to ensure immediate relief.
According to official details, IG Punjab instructed DIG Establishment-II to take necessary action regarding the reinstatement request of former Constable Waheed Ahmed. Likewise, he directed the Additional IG Punjab to process the promotion cases of Sub-Inspectors Usman Tasadduq, Muhammad Asif, Asif Nadeem, and Ali Imran.
For Senior Scale Stenographer Basharat Ali’s transfer request, the AIG Admin & Security was ordered to provide prompt relief. The Additional IG Punjab was also tasked with reviewing the promotion cases of Traffic Wardens Imran Zafar, Imran Munir, and Tahira.
In welfare-related matters, IG Punjab directed the Additional IG Welfare & Finance to take necessary steps on SP Ijaz Rasheed’s scholarship request. Additionally, DSP Khalid Bilal’s clemency appeal was forwarded to the Additional IG Punjab for further action.
Responding to a request from the family of martyred Constable Ijaz Ahmed, Dr. Usman Anwar instructed the DPO Sheikhupura to provide immediate assistance.
The IG Punjab also issued directives on several other applications pertaining to disciplinary issues, administrative matters, promotions, and welfare, reaffirming the department’s commitment to supporting its personnel and their families.
