LAHORE: The University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) Lahore and Rashid Latif Khan University (RLKU) have signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at strengthening academic collaboration, research activities, and institutional linkages between the two universities.
The signing ceremony was held at the UVAS City Campus, where Vice-Chancellor Meritorious Prof. Dr. Muhammad Younus (DLA.I, T.I) and RLKU Registrar Dr. Muhammad Khalid Khan formalized the agreement. Dean Faculty of Life Sciences Business Management Prof. Dr. Rana Muhammad Ayyub and senior officials from both sides were also present.
Prof. Dr. Muhammad Younus underscored the historic significance of UVAS and said the partnership would contribute greatly to advancing education and research for both institutions.
Dr. Muhammad Khalid Khan highlighted RLKU’s academic and research initiatives and praised UVAS for its high standards of education and research excellence. He added that RLKU faculty would gain valuable learning and exposure through collaboration with UVAS experts.
Under the MoU, the two universities will undertake joint research projects, develop research proposals, and collaborate on training and scientific activities. They will also jointly organize seminars, workshops, conferences, and symposiums.
The agreement further includes faculty and student exchanges for research purposes, along with shared access to laboratories, equipment, and academic resources. Both institutions will provide academic and administrative support and exchange information related to conferences and learning opportunities.
