Islamabad – Syed Zeeshan Ali Naqvi, Focal Person of the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme and former Deputy Mayor of Islamabad, has strongly condemned the deadly blast at Khadijat-ul-Kubra Imambargah in Islamabad’s Tarlai area, calling it a cowardly and inhumane act of terrorism.
In a statement, Naqvi said targeting a place of worship was a direct attack on innocent civilians as well as Pakistan’s peace, unity and religious harmony. He urged the state to take immediate and strict action against the perpetrators and their facilitators.
The collective funeral prayers for the victims were offered at the Tarlai Imambargah, attended by a large number of mourners, including religious, social and political figures. Inspector General of Islamabad Police Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi and Syed Zeeshan Ali Naqvi were present and expressed condolences to the bereaved families.
Later, Naqvi visited PIMS Hospital, Polyclinic Hospital and CDA Hospital, where he inquired about the condition of the injured and directed medical authorities to ensure prompt and quality treatment for all victims.
