RAHIM YAR KHAN: President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari has taken a swipe at former Prime Minister Imran Khan, saying he hasn’t even spent 18 months in jail and has already started complaining.
Addressing a public rally in Rahim Yar Khan, President Zardari remarked, “I have served time in prison. I used to say that jail only asks questions after two years.”
Drawing from his own experience of imprisonment, the President commented on Khan’s current situation, suggesting that the real test of incarceration comes with prolonged detention.
In his speech, Zardari also expressed confidence about his party’s political future, stating, “We will win, and Bilawal will be the Prime Minister.”
The President’s remarks come as Imran Khan remains in custody facing multiple cases, while political tensions continue to simmer in Pakistan’s political landscape.
