LAHORE: Administrator Auqaf Punjab Dr. Ehsan Bhutta has said that fasting during the holy month of Ramadan is not merely abstaining from food and drink, but a profound spiritual practice that nurtures patience, compassion, discipline, and unity among people.
He expressed these views while attending a dignified collective Iftar reception organized by the Al-Sheikh Azad Welfare Foundation at the historic Badshahi Mosque, where arrangements for Iftar have been made from the first to the last day of Ramadan.
Dr. Bhutta appreciated the arrangements made for fasting attendees and stated that the Auqaf Department Punjab remains fully committed to serving devotees and ensuring the provision of the best possible facilities at religious sites, particularly during Ramadan. He reviewed the administrative measures in place and expressed satisfaction over the overall arrangements.
The event was hosted by Chairman Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Pakistan, Maulana Syed Muhammad Abdul Khabir Azad. Administrator Badshahi Mosque Shahid Hameed Warraich, along with other senior officers and religious scholars, also attended the gathering.
Khateeb of Badshahi Mosque, Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad, highlighted the spiritual virtues of Ramadan and emphasized unity among the Muslim Ummah. The ceremony concluded with a collective prayer led by Maulana Syed Muhammad Abdul Khabir Azad for the peace, stability, and prosperity of the country.
