Islamabad: Islamabad Police have intensified their crackdown against criminal elements in the federal capital, arresting 39 suspects, including 25 proclaimed offenders involved in serious crimes.
According to police officials, the operations were conducted on the special directives of Inspector General of Police Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, aimed at ensuring the safety and security of citizens.
Police teams from multiple stations, including Golra, Sangjani, Industrial Area, Noon, Shams Colony, Khanna, Kirpa, and Bani Gala, carried out coordinated operations, leading to the arrest of 14 suspects. Authorities recovered 1,660 grams of hashish, 610 grams of heroin, 201 grams of methamphetamine (ice), 15 bottles of liquor, seven pistols with ammunition, and two daggers from their possession.
Cases have been registered against the arrested individuals, and further investigations are underway.
In a separate campaign targeting proclaimed offenders and absconders, police arrested an additional 25 individuals.
Senior Superintendent of Police (Operations) stated that Islamabad Police remain committed to maintaining law and order and ensuring the protection of citizens’ lives and property, adding that no criminal elements will be allowed to disrupt public peace.
Citizens have been urged to report any suspicious activity to the nearest police station or via the emergency helpline “Pucar-15,” emphasizing the importance of public cooperation in eliminating crime.
