The session was reportedly requested by Russia following attacks on civilian infrastructure in Iran.
Meanwhile, airstrikes by the United States and Israel are reportedly ongoing. Iranian media claims that at least six people were killed after strikes hit three residential houses in Qom.
Additionally, explosions were reported near the Pakistani embassy and the residence of the ambassador in Tehran, raising further concerns about the security situation.
