Islamabad: Islamabad Police Inspector General Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi has commended investigation teams for their role in the timely arrest of suspects involved in the murder of businessman Amir Shehzad.
During a ceremony held at the Central Police Office, attended by Muhammad Jawad Tariq, officers and personnel were awarded commendation certificates and prizes in recognition of their professional competence and effective investigative work.
The IG stated that Islamabad Police remains committed to safeguarding citizens’ lives and property, emphasizing professionalism, transparency, and a public-friendly approach as key priorities.
He added that officers demonstrating excellence in crime prevention, timely response, and effective investigation are a source of pride for the department, and their recognition boosts overall institutional morale.
Separately, the IG chaired a meeting with senior officers to review ongoing measures against crime, including the arrest of proclaimed offenders and effective prosecution of key cases.
