Pakistan’s government enjoys overwhelming public backing in its efforts to broker a ceasefire between the US, Iran, and Israel, according to a fresh Gallup Pakistan survey.
The poll, conducted on April 8–9, revealed that 93% of Pakistanis support Pakistan’s mediating role in the ceasefire process, with 72% expressing strong support. Only a small minority opposed the mediation.
The survey also found that 82% of citizens are aware of the government’s ceasefire efforts, while 46% said they have been hearing about a potential major deal. On the prospects for lasting peace, 80% believe the ceasefire will lead to a peaceful resolution, with 44% expressing strong optimism about the outcome.
