LAHORE: The Board of Directors of the Punjab Industrial Estates Development and Management Company (PIEDMC), in its 173rd meeting chaired by Javed Iqbal, has approved the provision of gas at subsidised rates up to the zero point in the Quaid-e-Azam Business Park and Bhalwal Industrial Estate.
The meeting was attended via video link by Provincial Minister for Industry and Commerce Chaudhry Shafay Hussain and Secretary Industry and Commerce Omar Masood. Other participants included Sajid Saleem Minhas, Mian Nauman Kabir, Muhammad Ahmad Khan, Shehzad Azam Khan, Dr. Shahid Raza, CEO PIEDMC Shoaib Ali, COO Ali Moazzam Syed, and officials from the Finance Department.
The board also approved the expansion of a Jamia Mosque in Sundar Industrial Estate, a disposal policy for scrap and assets, and a Memorandum of Understanding with the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan. Additionally, it gave approval for the formation of a committee to oversee the sale of commercial areas and the launch of commercial activities in Quaid-e-Azam Business Park.
Speaking on the occasion, Chairman Javed Iqbal stated that extending gas supply up to the zero point in industrial estates would ensure timely availability for industries and help reduce production costs due to subsidised rates. He added that PIEDMC is committed to facilitating industrialists by providing essential infrastructure and services across its managed industrial zones.
