Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has announced in a national address that Pakistan has formally dispatched new peace proposals to Iran, aimed at de-escalating the ongoing conflict and restoring stability to the region. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to dialogue and diplomacy, stressing that war is never a solution to political disputes.
In the same address, the Prime Minister made a special appeal to the public to conserve oil and fuel, warning that regional tensions demand prudent energy consumption at the national level. He noted with satisfaction that oil consumption across Pakistan has already seen a marked decline — describing it as an encouraging and positive indicator of public cooperation.
PM Shehbaz made clear that Pakistan has no desire to become a party to any conflict, and remains committed to maintaining peaceful relations with all neighboring states, including Iran. He urged citizens to embrace a culture of austerity and conservation in the larger national interest during these challenging regional circumstances.
