Islamabad – Pakistan’s Minister for Religious Affairs, Sardar Muhammad Yousuf, announced that the country will observe “Ashra Rehmatul-lil-Alameen” (Ten Days of the Prophet’s Mercy) from 1st to 12th Rabi-ul-Awwal to mark the 1500th anniversary of the blessed birth of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
Speaking at a press conference in Islamabad, the minister said the highlight of the commemorations will be the 50th International Seerat-un-Nabi (PBUH) Conference, which will feature participation from national leaders, government officials, and international dignitaries.
He added that conferences, seminars, and events will be organized across all four provinces, including Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Jammu & Kashmir, focusing on themes such as the constructive use of social media and the responsibilities of the state in light of the Prophet’s teachings.
The minister further announced that on the night of 11th Rabi-ul-Awwal, a special gathering of Naat recitations will be held, alongside parallel events across the country in collaboration with provincial governments. He emphasized that these celebrations aim to spread a message of peace, tolerance, and harmony.
