LAHORE: An important meeting was held under the chairmanship of Parliamentary Secretary for Housing Punjab, Sultan Tariq Bajwa, to review the performance of various institutions and the progress on major public welfare development projects underway across Punjab.
Representatives of Development Authorities, WASA, PHA and other relevant departments attended the meeting. During the session, progress on various development initiatives launched under the directions of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz was reviewed in detail, including the “Apni Chhat Apna Ghar,” “Apni Zameen Apna Ghar,” and affordable housing programmes.
Sultan Tariq Bajwa said that under the leadership of the Chief Minister Punjab, unprecedented welfare and development programmes have been introduced for the public, and the number of beneficiary families is increasing day by day.
He directed WASA authorities to further accelerate field operations and ensure the prompt resolution of public complaints. He also instructed all concerned departments to enhance preparations for the upcoming monsoon season to avoid inconvenience to citizens.
The meeting also reviewed initiatives being carried out under the “Green Punjab Vision.” The Parliamentary Secretary directed horticulture agencies to further intensify plantation campaigns, stating that environmental improvement remains one of the government’s top priorities.
He further instructed Development Authorities to ensure strict implementation of master plans and continue indiscriminate action against illegal constructions.
The meeting also reviewed the installation of water filtration plants under the Chief Minister Punjab Clean Water Programme. Sultan Tariq Bajwa directed the authorities to ensure uninterrupted provision of clean drinking water to citizens in order to promote a healthy environment.
The Parliamentary Secretary Housing stated that, in line with the vision of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, development projects are progressing rapidly across the province and the timely completion of public welfare initiatives remains the government’s foremost priority.
