LAHORE: The Punjab Counter Narcotics Force (PCNF) conducted 70 successful intelligence-based operations across Punjab during the last 10 days, arresting 73 drug peddlers and recovering large quantities of narcotics and weapons during the raids.

According to a spokesperson for the Punjab Counter Narcotics Force, a total of 255 kilograms of narcotics worth approximately Rs. 42 million were seized. The recovered drugs included 230 kilograms of hashish, 13 kilograms of opium, 3 kilograms of ice, 9 kilograms of cannabis, and 250 grams of heroin.
During the operations, authorities also recovered 20 weapons, including 15 pistols, two SMGs, and three rifles.
The Director General of the Punjab Counter Narcotics Force stated that since August 2025, the force has recovered a total of 21.7 tons of narcotics with an estimated value exceeding Rs. 2.35 billion.
He further said that, on the directions of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, a zero-tolerance policy is being strictly implemented against drug traffickers across the province.
He added that anti-narcotics operations would continue without interruption until the goal of eliminating drugs from society is achieved.
