TEHRAN: Iran’s Ministry of Health has stated that at least 38 people have been killed and more than 400 injured across the country since hostilities with the United States resumed on June 22.
Health Ministry spokesperson Hossein Kermanpour said in a statement posted on social media platform X (formerly Twitter) that the death toll includes 3 women. He added that among the injured are 22 women and 9 individuals under the age of 18.
The spokesperson’s statement highlights that the impact of the strikes is being felt among civilians as well, with women and minors among those affected.
