TEHRAN: Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has claimed it targeted a US Special Operations command center in the Al-Tanf area of Syria, as part of what it called the eleventh wave of “Operation Nasr 2” — a retaliatory campaign launched in response to US strikes on Iran.
According to the IRGC statement, the strike was carried out in retaliation for Iranian personnel killed in the Bampur area of Iranshahr.
The statement claims that a radar system was destroyed during the operation, along with several helicopters used for special operations, and alleges that a significant number of US military personnel were killed.
