Jeddah/Islamabad – Pakistan’s Foreign Minister, Senator Ishaq Dar, has said that Islamabad firmly rejects the so-called “Greater Israel” plan, stressing that the ongoing Israeli attacks on Gaza, including strikes on refugee camps and hospitals, constitute blatant violations of international law.
Speaking at an extraordinary session of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers in Jeddah, Dar highlighted the humanitarian catastrophe unfolding in Gaza, where Israel has imposed famine conditions. He underscored the urgent need for humanitarian aid and an immediate, unconditional ceasefire.
Dar condemned Israeli bombardments that have killed thousands of innocent Palestinians, including what he said were nearly 60,000 children. He also expressed gratitude to Türkiye and Iran for convening the emergency meeting, and urged the international community to ensure safe and unhindered access for humanitarian assistance.
Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan, addressing the meeting, also criticized Israel’s unilateral actions in Gaza, describing them as grave breaches of international law, and warned that the “Greater Israel” vision cannot be accepted under any circumstances.
Dar reiterated Pakistan’s support for Arab sovereignty and territorial integrity, calling for an immediate end to forced displacement in Gaza. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s position in favor of a two-state solution based on pre-1967 borders, emphasizing that Israel’s policies pose a direct threat to regional peace and stability.
