Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif received a delegation from the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) led by Federal Minister for Education and MQM Convener Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui on Wednesday.
The MQM delegation included senior leaders Dr. Farooq Sattar, and Members of the National Assembly Syed Amin-ul-Haq and Javed Hanif. Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar, and Adviser to the Prime Minister Rana Sanaullah also attended the meeting.
During the meeting, the MQM delegation presented its proposals and recommendations for the upcoming federal budget. The leaders held detailed discussions on public welfare and development projects in Sindh province, particularly Karachi, under the federal government.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif directed the concerned authorities to thoroughly review MQM’s budget proposals and prepare a comprehensive and practical action plan for their implementation.
The Prime Minister appreciated MQM’s role as an important coalition partner, noting that the party has consistently supported the government’s initiatives for public welfare. The meeting also included a review of the overall political situation in the country.
