LAHORE: The has directed district agencies across the province to ensure comprehensive cleanliness and security arrangements in public parks ahead of , anticipating a large influx of visitors during the festive holidays.
Public parks traditionally witness a significant increase in footfall during Eid-ul-Adha as families gather for recreation and celebrations. Popular destinations including and , along with parks in other cities, are expected to attract thousands of visitors.
Raja Mansoor Ahmad said horticulture agencies have been instructed to ensure regular cleaning, effective waste disposal, and the availability of sufficient dustbins across all public parks.
He added that district agencies have also been directed to deploy security personnel and install necessary safety equipment, including surveillance cameras, to maintain order and ensure public safety during the Eid holidays. Senior officials will remain on duty to monitor facilities and oversee arrangements in parks.
According to Raja Mansoor Ahmad, PHA officials will coordinate closely with district administrations to provide visitors with a well-managed and family-friendly environment throughout the festive period.
Meanwhile, the umbrella body of district horticulture agencies has imposed a ban on the installation and operation of temporary amusement rides in parks across the province during Eid-ul-Adha.
The PHA chief stated that temporary mechanical rides, swings, and similar installations will not be permitted in parks under the control of horticulture agencies. However, permanently installed amusement rides will remain operational, provided owners submit valid fitness certificates confirming compliance with prescribed safety standards.
All district horticulture agencies have been directed to strictly enforce the ban and ensure that only certified permanent rides remain functional during the Eid holidays.
The initiative aims to provide citizens with a safe, clean, and enjoyable recreational environment during the Eid celebrations.
