Beijing, — Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif held a high-level meeting with Chinese Premier Li Qiang in Beijing on Monday, marking a significant diplomatic milestone on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of Pakistan-China diplomatic relations.


The two leaders reaffirmed the strength of the All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership, with PM Shehbaz describing the bilateral ties as rooted in “mutual trust, strategic confidence and shared commitment to peace and prosperity.”
Both sides expressed strong support on issues of core national interests and agreed that the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) has played a transformative role in Pakistan’s socio-economic development. They pledged to accelerate the next phase of CPEC, focusing on industrialization, connectivity, agriculture, digital transformation, clean energy, and advanced technologies.
PM Shehbaz highlighted the need to build synergies between China’s 15th Five-Year Plan and Pakistan’s development vision “Uraan Pakistan.” He also welcomed enhanced cooperation in space, artificial intelligence, and emerging technologies, noting the selection of Pakistani astronauts for China’s space station programme as a landmark achievement.
The Prime Minister reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to ensuring foolproof security of Chinese nationals and projects in Pakistan.
