LAHORE: Punjab Information and Culture Minister Azma Bokhari has said that an extraordinary level of enthusiasm is being witnessed among the people of Gilgit-Baltistan ahead of the upcoming elections, with political activity reaching its peak across the region.
She stated that the arrival of Nawaz Sharif in Gilgit-Baltistan has significantly changed the political atmosphere and energized party supporters.
Azma Bokhari said the immense love, respect, and warm reception accorded to Nawaz Sharif in Gilgit reflected the genuine sentiments of the people. She added that the people of Gilgit-Baltistan continue to hold the former prime minister in high regard and view Pakistan Muslim League (N) (PML-N) as a symbol of development, prosperity, and public service.
The minister said the people of Gilgit-Baltistan are fully aware that major development projects and public welfare initiatives in the region were implemented during the tenure of PML-N governments.
