WASHINGTON — The United States Treasury and State Departments have announced a new round of sanctions against Iran, targeting international networks that facilitate weapons procurement for the Iranian military and Ministry of Defense.
According to the US Treasury Department, the measures designate 6 individuals and 4 entities operating across Iran, Hong Kong, and Belarus, accusing them of supporting Iran’s defense acquisition activities.
The State Department stated that the Trump administration continues to impose new measures as part of its “maximum pressure” campaign against Tehran. The latest actions are aimed at dismantling Iran’s military financing and arms supply chains on a global scale.
Officials emphasized that Washington will continue to pursue and penalize any individual or organization — regardless of location — found assisting Iran’s sanctioned defense apparatus.
