According to United Nations estimates, more than 73,000 Palestinians have been killed and approximately 173,500 wounded since October 2023, while millions have been displaced. The cost of reconstruction is estimated at around $70 billion.
Although a ceasefire took effect on October 10, 2025, Israeli operations in Gaza did not come to a complete halt. According to Palestinian officials, more than 1,000 Palestinians have been killed and thousands wounded even after the ceasefire.
