TEHRAN: Iran’s armed forces have claimed to have carried out retaliatory strikes against US installations in Bahrain in response to earlier American attacks. According to the Iranian military, drone strikes targeted US helicopters and reconnaissance aircraft at Bahrain’s Sakhir airbase.
The Iranian military further claimed that drone strikes were also carried out against targets in Kuwait as part of the same retaliatory response.
Separately, Russian media outlets reported that Iranian drones struck a US missile battery, with the area reportedly engulfed in thick smoke following the strike.
