PMD Issues Alert: Strong Winds and Rains Expected in Multiple Punjab Districts from July 19 to23

Lahore— The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecasted a change in weather across several key districts of Punjab from July 19 to July 23. Strong winds accompanied by rains, possibly with thunderstorms, are likely during this period.
Affected Districts:
Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Mandi Bahauddin, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Hafizabad, Wazirabad, Faisalabad, Khushab, Sargodha, Lahore, Sheikhupura, Sialkot, Narowal, Sahiwal, Jhang, Toba Tek Singh, Nankana Sahib, Chiniot, and Okara.
According to the PMD, these areas may experience gusty winds and rainfall. Residents in major cities like Lahore, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, and Sialkot have been advised to take precautionary measures.
Possible Impacts:
Strong winds may damage weak structures, billboards, and standing crops.
Rain may cause water logging and urban flooding in low-lying areas.
Temporary power outages and traffic disruptions are possible.
