Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Capital Police, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, has ordered a comprehensive audit and physical verification of all police wireless communication sets in a bid to enhance the efficiency and transparency of the force’s communication network.
According to police sources, the IGP has directed officials to update the record of all wireless equipment, identify missing or unregistered devices, and determine accountability for any discrepancies, with a detailed report to be submitted subsequently.
During the review meeting, recent police encounters, use of firearms, and related cases were also examined in detail. The IGP stressed that all police operations must strictly comply with the law and adhere to principles of transparency and professionalism.
He further instructed officers to ensure the effective utilization of police resources, strengthen accountability mechanisms, and safeguard the lives and property of citizens at all times.
