ISLAMABAD: A case has been registered against Noreen Niazi, sister of PTI founding chairman Imran Khan, under Sections 20 and 26-A of the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA).
According to the First Information Report (FIR), Noreen Niazi leveled false and baseless allegations against Pakistan and its armed forces, in what authorities describe as an attempt to erode public trust in the state and spread panic.
The FIR alleges that she circulated false, inflammatory, defamatory and threatening content on social media, and ran a “systematic propaganda campaign” against state and security institutions.
