LAHORE: Chairman and President of the University of Management and Technology (UMT), Ibrahim Hasan Murad, held a meeting with Bangladesh High Commissioner to Pakistan Iqbal Hussain Khan and discussed matters of mutual interest and ways to further strengthen bilateral relations between Pakistan and Bangladesh across various sectors.
Ibrahim Hasan Murad said that Pakistan and Bangladesh have significant opportunities to enhance cooperation, particularly in the fields of education, trade, technology, research and culture, which could provide substantial benefits to the people of both countries, especially the younger generation.
He emphasized that education, technological advancement, research collaboration and strategic partnerships could play a vital role in taking bilateral cooperation to new heights.
Murad highlighted the importance of strengthening linkages among universities, educational institutions, industry and young people in both countries. Such collaboration, he said, could create new opportunities for the exchange of knowledge, skills, expertise and experiences.
He added that greater institutional and academic engagement would not only contribute to educational and economic development but also promote mutual understanding and stronger people-to-people ties between Pakistan and Bangladesh.
The UMT Chairman said strong bilateral relations between the two countries could play a pivotal role in promoting regional development, prosperity and mutual cooperation. He stressed the need to expand collaboration across different sectors so that Pakistan and Bangladesh could benefit from each other’s experiences, expertise and institutional strengths.
Bangladesh High Commissioner Iqbal Hussain Khan appreciated Ibrahim Hasan Murad’s educational and social contributions and expressed his best wishes for further strengthening cooperation between Pakistan and Bangladesh in various fields.
During the meeting, Ibrahim Hasan Murad also presented a souvenir to High Commissioner Iqbal Hussain Khan.
