KHANEWAL: The Punjab Sahulat Bazaars Authority, in collaboration with the Punjab Enforcement and Regulatory Authority (PERA) Force, conducted a major operation against encroachments in different areas of Khanewal city.
PERA Enforcement Officer Safeer Hassan, along with Sahulat Bazaar Khanewal administration officials Engineer Abdur Rehman Qulzam and Engineer Saqib Sarfraz, led the operation against illegal stalls and temporary shops.
During the operation, action was taken against violators and fines were imposed in accordance with the relevant regulations.
Shopkeepers were also directed to establish their Friday Bazaar stalls at the designated Friday Bazaar in Sahulat Bazaar Khanewal instead of setting up stalls along roads and at other locations across the city.
Officials said the measure was aimed at providing citizens with a more organized, convenient and accessible shopping environment while reducing encroachments and traffic-related difficulties.
Speaking on the occasion, PERA Enforcement Officer Safeer Hassan said the Friday Bazaar at Sahulat Bazaar Khanewal had been made fully operational and equipped with necessary facilities and arrangements for both shopkeepers and customers.
He said citizens could purchase a variety of essential commodities at a single location in a more organized environment.
Safeer Hassan added that efforts would continue to improve facilities for citizens, ensure better market management and keep public spaces free from encroachments.
The Enforcement Officer also appreciated the Sahulat Bazaar administration for its arrangements and efforts, describing its performance as commendable.
