Cairo: A video of an Egyptian newborn has gone viral on social media after the baby was seen lying in an unusually relaxed position just minutes after birth.
In the footage, the infant rests with both hands behind his head and one leg crossed over the other, while medical staff examine him nearby. Instead of crying or appearing restless, the baby looks calm and comfortable.
The clip was shared by Dr Islam Eldeh, a Cairo-based paediatrician and neonatologist, who described the baby’s posture as the “royal pose.”
Social media users flooded the video with humorous comments, saying the newborn appeared to have already mastered relaxation. Reports said the video received millions of views and thousands of comments.
However, some users raised concerns over medical ethics and the newborn’s privacy, questioning whether a doctor should share footage of a patient who cannot consent.
