ISLAMABAD – The United Kingdom has announced emergency aid worth over one billion rupees to support flood-affected communities in Pakistan.
According to private news channel Express News, British High Commissioner Jane Marriott met with Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, where she expressed the UK’s full solidarity with Pakistan over the devastation caused by floods and monsoon rains.
She announced £3 million in emergency relief assistance, along with further humanitarian support from the UK.
Deputy PM Ishaq Dar thanked the British government for its timely support and solidarity, noting that the assistance would provide significant relief to the affected population.
