Riyadh/London – Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has departed for the United Kingdom after completing what he described as a “historic and memorable” visit to Saudi Arabia.
According to the Prime Minister’s Office, Riyadh’s Deputy Governor Prince Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bid farewell to Sharif at the airport.
In a message posted on social media platform X, the Prime Minister expressed deep gratitude to Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman for the warm and exceptional welcome, which included a ceremonial guard of honor by Saudi armed forces and an escort by Royal Air Force fighter jets.
Sharif stated that his meeting with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman was “friendly and comprehensive,” covering regional challenges and reaffirming commitments to expand bilateral cooperation. He praised the Crown Prince’s vision and leadership in the Muslim world and highlighted his consistent support for strengthening Pakistan–Saudi Arabia ties in investment, trade, and business sectors.
The Prime Minister concluded with prayers for the enduring friendship between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia to “grow stronger and reach new heights.”
