Islamabad: The Government of Pakistan has permitted the commercial import of vehicles up to five years old.
According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Finance, the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) has approved the decision, allowing such vehicles to be imported until June 30, 2026.
The statement further mentioned that vehicles less than five years old will be subject to a 40% regulatory duty, which will be reduced by 10% annually starting next year.
Officials from the Ministry of Finance confirmed that the import duty will be gradually phased out by the fiscal year 2029-30.
