Netflixs Assassins Creed Adaptation Adds Claes Bang, Nabhaan Rizwan as Series Regulars

Claes Bang and Nabhaan Rizwan have joined the cast as series regulars on Netflix‘s Assassin’s Creed adaptation.
The live action series was finally greenlit in July last year, with Roberto Patino (Westworld,Sons of Anarchy) and David Wiener (Halo,The Killing) as creators, showrunners and executive producers.
The official logline reads: “Assassin’s Creed is a high-octane thriller centered on the secret war between two shadowy factions — one set on determining mankind’s future through control and manipulation, while the other fights to preserve free will. The series follows its characters across pivotal historical events as they battle to shape humanity’s destiny.”
Danish actor Bang is best known for his lead role in Ruben Östlund’s 2017 filmThe Square, which won thePalme d’Orat theCannes Film Festival, and later, for his part in Robert Eggers’ 2022 film The Northman. He starred as Sasha Mann in the final season of The Affair and recently played the titular character in Nick Hamm’s William Tell.
BAFTA Rising Star nominee Nabhaan has acted in Netflix’s Kaos, as well as the U.K.’s Dope Girls and Juice for the BBC. He gained recognition for his performance in HBO’s Station 11 opposite Himesh Patel and also featured in Industry, BBC-Amazon thriller The Informer, and Jack Thorne’s miniseries The Accident for Channel 4 & Hulu. Nabhaan recently wrapped filming Film Club alongside The White Lotus‘ Aimee Lou Wood.
Previously announced cast members on Assassin’s Creed include Lola Petticrew, Toby Wallace, Zachary Hart, Laura Marcus, Tanzyn Crawford, Noomi Rapace, Ramzy Bedia, Sean Harris and Corrado Invernizzi.
With more than 230 million units sold, the Assassin’s Creed franchise is one of the best-selling series in video game history.
The Ubisoft game was last adapted for the screen in 2016 via 20th Century Fox. Justin Kurzel’s Assassin’s Creed withMichael Fassbender,Marion Cotillard,Jeremy Irons, andBrendan Gleeson grossed over $240 million worldwide.
