Islamabad – Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has left for Doha on a one-day official visit to attend the Emergency Arab-Islamic Summit scheduled for September 15, 2025.
The summit has been convened in response to Israeli airstrikes on Doha and the worsening humanitarian situation in Palestine marked by ongoing violations of human rights.
The Prime Minister is accompanied by a high-level delegation including Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Information Minister Attaullah Tarar, and Special Assistant Syed Tariq Fatemi.
Leaders and senior officials from member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) are expected to participate in the summit, which will deliberate on collective measures to counter Israeli aggression and address the escalating crisis in the region.
