In the thrilling final of the ATP Challengers Cup doubles competition, Pakistani pair Aisam-ul-Haq and Muzammil Mortaza faced defeat after a tough match.
The 2010 US Open finalist Aisam-ul-Haq could not win his last match in his professional career but he gave his all on the court.
For the first time in history, the ATP Challenger Cup was held in Pakistan and the Pakistani pair’s access to the men’s doubles was very impressive.
In the doubles final of the event being held at the PTF Tennis Complex, Islamabad, Dominik Plan of the Czech Republic and Denis Evsev of Kazakhstan showed a brilliant performance and won the final (3) 6-7 and 4-6.
With the end of the doubles event, Pakistan’s famous tennis star Aisam-ul-Haq has also retired from the international tennis circuit, on which tennis fans paid tribute to him in a magnificent way. Finally, the Patron-in-Chief of the Pakistan Tennis Federation, Saleem
