Islamabad – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan has written another letter to Chief Justice of Pakistan Yahya Afridi, alleging that the doors of justice have been closed to him and his wife, Bushra Bibi.
The letter, submitted to the Supreme Court’s Records and Information Branch by Khan’s sister Aleema Khan, states that the former prime minister has been held in solitary confinement for 772 days, confined to a 9×11 cell which he described as a “cage.” He further claimed that more than 300 politically motivated cases have been filed against him, calling it unprecedented in the country’s history.
Khan also raised concerns over the deteriorating health of his wife, Bushra Bibi, alleging that authorities have denied her access to proper medical examination by a doctor.
Separately, speaking outside the Islamabad High Court, Aleema Khan said she had requested the Chief Justice to hear the appeal for suspension of the sentences of Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi. Chief Justice Sarfraz Dogar reportedly assured her that the case would be scheduled for hearing on September 25.
