Pakistan – Weekly inflation dips slightly, 0.16% decline recorded
Islamabad, – Pakistan’s weekly inflation rate fell by 0.16%, bringing the country’s annual inflation to 3.95%, according to data released by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics. Islamabad, – Pakistan’s weekly inflation rate fell by 0.16%, bringing the country’s annual inflation to 3.95%, according to data released by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics.
The report showed that prices of 17 essential items rose while 11 fell during the week. Tomatoes surged by 9.04%, eggs by 0.88% and wheat flour by 0.76%. Increases were also noted in gur (0.64%), powdered milk (0.58%), washing soap (0.47%) and mutton (0.40%), along with edible oil and fresh milk.
Conversely, chicken prices dropped by 12.46%, bananas by 4.22% and potatoes by 2.44%. Onion and LPG prices also declined slightly, while rates of 23 items remained unchanged.
