Lahore, Pakistan — Saima Fatah, a senior nurse at Lahore General Hospital (LGH), has been promoted to Nursing Superintendent (Grade-18) after successfully qualifying through the Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC).
Fatah, who began her career at the same hospital nine years ago as a staff nurse, brings a strong record of professional dedication and academic excellence to her new leadership role.
Following her appointment, she met with Principal Ameer-ud-Din Medical College (AMC) Prof. Dr. Farooq Afzal and LGH Medical Superintendent Dr. Faryad Hussain. Prof. Afzal congratulated her and called for enhanced discipline, attendance, and patient care within the nursing department.
“In line with Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz’s health vision, ensuring the provision of quality healthcare services to patients remains a top government priority, and nursing staff play a vital role in this effort,” Prof. Afzal said. He further stressed the importance of higher education and continuous professional training in the healthcare sector.
Fatah pledged to strengthen nursing services and align them with modern healthcare standards. “I believe in teamwork and will work collectively with my colleagues to enhance patient care,” she said.
She previously earned distinction by securing first position in the Midwifery examinations conducted by the Punjab Nursing Board — a reflection of her commitment to professional excellence.
