A promotion rank-pinning ceremony was held at the Central Police Office following the directions of Inspector General of Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar to formally elevate officers to the rank of Inspector. IG Punjab personally pinned the new ranks on 49 officers, including 18 from Sheikhupura Region, 17 from Sargodha Region, and 14 from Sahiwal Region. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar expressed gratitude to Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz for her continued support and provision of resources to strengthen the Punjab Police. He noted that seven promotion boards were conducted this year, resulting in 1,047 promotions from Sub-Inspector to Inspector. Over the past three years, 3,456 officers have been promoted through 27 promotion boards, marking a significant milestone in career progression within the force.
Dr. Usman Anwar directed that Artificial Intelligence and Information Technology should be effectively utilized to enhance smart policing and public service delivery.
