LAHORE, Pakistan — Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Lahore Bilal Siddique Kamyana has issued a strong warning against land grabbers, directing that firm action be taken against individuals involved in the illegal occupation of citizens’ properties.
Chairing a meeting at his office, the CCPO reviewed ongoing operations targeting land grabbers, measures for the repatriation of illegal Afghan nationals, and efforts to combat drug peddling across Lahore. Officials also discussed strategies for reclaiming unlawfully occupied land and ensuring relief for affected citizens.
Kamyana instructed that all encroached properties be retrieved promptly, underscoring the need for close coordination with District Dispute Resolution Committees and the district administration to restore rightful ownership.
Addressing narcotics control, the CCPO ordered intensified intelligence-based combing operations and comprehensive backtracking investigations to dismantle drug networks. He warned that Station House Officers (SHOs) will be held accountable for any drug activity taking place within their jurisdictions.
Officials briefed the meeting on the ongoing repatriation of illegal Afghan nationals, after which the CCPO directed authorities to accelerate the process and ensure regular awareness announcements through mosques.
Reiterating the importance of upholding the rule of law, Kamyana emphasized the timely investigation of pending cases to bring them to their logical conclusion.
The meeting was attended by DIG (Admin) Imran Kishwar, DIG (Investigation) Zeeshan Raza, DIG (Operations) Faisal Kamran, SSP (Investigation) Muhammad Naveed, and divisional SPs.
